I've been thinking about threading as an alternative to waxing for a while now, but after Fabu-Less Beauty recommended it to me, I decided to look into it more seriously.
So far, it's been difficult to find a (mainstream) place in the Phoenix metro area that does it. I did check out the website of one well-known spa's waxing guru, but she charged a ridiculous $55 for eyebrow threading! That's more than twice the amount of most eyebrow waxing sessions!!
I've heard that threading usually goes for much cheaper, so I was very disappointed. I'll have to continue my search.
I'd like to hear your experiences with the technique - cost, results, etc. Is it hard to find in your area, too? I imagine it would be much more popular in a place like California, but here, we're a little on the primitive side when it comes to cultural awareness... so I bet there's less demand. :( People are very, very into waxing here.
Anyway, let me know what you think, and if you can offer any tips or advice! Thanks! :)

Hey there! Thanks for the shout-out..hehe. I saw you on the boards of TotalBeauty. I joined them too and am really liking their site.
$55 for threading is way TOO expensive! The cheaper places that offer threading are Indian Beauty Salons. Expect pain the first time around...After awhile you will get used to it. Have you looked on yelp? It's a website that gives reviews on businesses...I looked for threading in the Phoenix, AZ area and this is what I got:

Might want to browse around that site.
Wow, thanks for the advice and link!! Never heard of the site, but it looks great :) I'll try it out. It makes sense that Indian beauty places would have it the cheapest, and I bet they do a great job!
Thanks again! :)
Seriously, $55 is WAY too expensive! I've never paid more than $15 for eyebrow threading. I do love it, though -- no irritation or subsequent breakouts!
