Wild About Eyeshadow Palettes

Today I've come to you to rave about one of my favorite drugstore finds: Wet n Wild Ultimate Expressions Eyeshadow Palettes. Wait, don't leave... I can explain.

I know what some of you are thinking: "Seriously, Jenn? Wet n Wild?" Yes, actually. I know many of us have had some disastrous purchases from them in the past, but this is one you should really consider. I was definitely NOT a fan of the company until I tried this, but I've had a little change of heart.

When I first started trying to seriously do makeup, these were my go-to products for pulling off eyeshadow. Why? These palettes are fool-proof. Each one includes eight colors, all of which can be mixed, matched, and layered for a perfect look. Instructions are on the back of the palette to make things even simpler, if you're a total beginner.

The shadows themselves are soft, blendable, and smooth. Some are more matte or shimmery than others, but none are obnoxiously loud or glittery. They apply easily with your shadow brush or the included foam applicator, and with a primer, are sure to last all day without creasing or fading. They aren't super-pigmented, but they're wonderful for flattering, natural looks. If bold is more your thing, there are enough contrasting colors to suit you, too.

Give these a try - these palettes are only $4.99 each. The only drawback? There aren't enough color varieties! Currently available are Sand Castle, Paradise Cove, and Fantasy Island - I use Paradise Cove myself.

What do you think? I'm not crazy, I swear.

Thanks for this! I'm not a big fan of Wet N' Wild also. I do admit that I use their brow pencils...incredibly cheap!
