Today's tip comes straight from the pages of my current read, Sephora: The Ultimate Guide to Makeup, Skin, and Hair from the Beauty Authority, which is packed with insider tips, product guides, and looks into the lives of the experts behind popular Sephora brands.
One feature I especially enjoyed is titled Double Agent Quick Fixes, a list of common items that can double as weapons of beauty for quick fixes, which I've compiled here for you! See if there's anything new that you can use in an urgent situation that calls for a quick fix:
- Toilet paper instead of blotting paper (I've already mentioned this here!)
- A knife instead of a mirror to check your lipstick
- Nail polish to prevent a run from spreading in your stockings
- Toothbrush as an eyebrow groomer (Just make sure it's clean!)
- Hair conditioner as shaving cream
- Brow tint to cover gray hairs or as a root touch-up in between a visit to the colorist
- Pressed or loose powder on roots of hair to absorb grease (Try it - it works! I prefer baby powder, though!)
- Hand lotion to fight hair frizzies
- Cold tea bags to depuff eyes
- Olive oil on patches of ultra-dry skin

Nail polish (I try to use clear depending on where it's going, but any color will work) is great for stopping the itch of bug bites! It keeps the air away from the bite. I use it on my 3-yr-old too, with no adverse effects-he'll even ask for it when the bites are really bothering him!
That's amazing! Thanks for visiting and sharing, boofsmom :)
I prefer toilet seat covers, rather than toilet paper for blotting. Great tips btw!
Definitely, the toilet seat covers are still awesome! lol! :) I liked these tips a lot, too!
