Today, I was surfing CoverGirl's website and doing some typical research when I stumbled on their Discontinued Products page in search of possible clearance items. When I clicked on the face product category, my jaw dropped: the TruBlend Liquid Makeup has been discontinued.
My CoverGirl TruBlend Liquid Makeup? Discontinued? I could practically feel my heart breaking!
Now, I'm not sure if this means the products in the old packaging have been discontinued, or if the product has been discontinued altogether - but either way, I'm worried. I also find it odd that the product is still being advertised, while they claim that it is no longer being made. While the replacement for this product is the TruBlend Whipped Foundation, I know nothing could ever replace the original.
How do you feel about discontinued products? Has something you really loved ever been discontinued? If so, what?
Don't you wish the beauty companies could keep our favorite products around forever? I know I'm running out to stock up ASAP! I'm sure some of you girls feel my pain!

I'm sorry about that! I've never encountered a situation like that before. Are you sure it's not just certain colors that are being discontinued and not the actual product itself? Hopefully, you will find another replacement? And have you tried the whipped formula?
I'm hoping it's just an old formula or certain colors or something, but I'm unsure at the moment. :( The website isn't very clear. Lucky you, never having to encounter that situation. :) Hehe.
I have yet to try the whipped formula, but if I have to, I might! I know there are other options available, but I'm a little attached right now. :)
Oh I am so sorry to hear about that..and the funny thing, i went to the mall yesterday and the CG True Blend was just being advertised, like BIG BIG posters and stuffs like that.
I don't have any cosmetics that I really love that's discontinued, but I feel for you when my Elizabeth Arden's true love eau de toilette was discontinued.... :(
It's weird, isn't it? I hope they just mean the old formula was discontinued!!
Sorry to hear about the eau de toilette... that seems to happen too often with perfumes and fragrances :(
Ohhh, I LOVED True Love!! I always thought it smelled like fresh roses, so pretty and feminine, one of my all time favorites!
Anywho, I HATE when my faves are DC. I had that when Jordana Color Xtend water proof eyeliner was DC. I searched everywhere for it, but gone...
Stock up! I wish companies would notify customers somehow so we could hoard.
